New Year's Resolution?

Share my feelings and emotions online...
Actually I'm just hoping to write something outside of school work and I thought this old blog was as good of a place as any.
I had a nice relaxing night, I forgot how much fun I am! I like spending time with me every once in awhile, but honestly I sat around and watched movies. So it's probably more likely that I just haven't seen any good movies in awhile.
I watched Mamma Mia...
It was better than I thought. I have seen the musical once and was a fan so I had pretty high expectations for the movie. I was a bit surprised initially by Meryl Streep's casting but she did a lovely job. (I'm not a Streep lover... I know I'm odd) I was a bit disappointed with the singing skill of the entire cast except for Amanda Seyfried. I thought she was the only good singer in the ensemble and poor Pierce's voice was atrocious! Good thing he had that salt and pepper sexy thing going on. The movie was very enjoyable but I would definitely not buy the sound track.
I watched House Bunny...
I thought it was very cute. In a fluffy way... I really like Emma Stone, I think that her comedic timing is great so it made the movie more watchable for me. The "Love Story" of Shelly (Anna Faris) and Oliver was pretty awkward and completely unbelievable. Not that most of this movie was realistic but it was funny enough to get away with it.
I watched Stepbrothers... (For the 2nd time)
I laughed all the way through it. The one liners in it are hilarious and totally repeatable. It's one of the movies that can put me in a good mood at any point and time. Now I'm not saying that it's quality cinematic work, but it is entertaining. John C. Reilly and Will Ferrell did fantastic jobs of being the biggest kids in the world.

But that's about it for tonight. I hope to keep this a regular habit.
Keep your fingers crossed but please don't hold your breath!

Naughty Miley?

I had something interesting happen to me today at work. First of all, I teach gymnastics and my pupils are from between 3-12... In a beginner grade school age gymnastics class I had an 8 year old girl make a surprising confession. When I put on our normal Hannah Montana jams that typically have the kiddies singing to the high heavens I had one girl approach me with her sad face on. I looked at her like she was crazy because she is typically a very happy child. She looked at me directly in the eyes and told me that she didn't like listening to listen to Hannah Montana anymore because she took bad pictures. I told her okay and changed the song to a Jonas Brothers song, because as far as I know they are still squeaky clean, and gave her a big smile. When I got home I started wondering how much of that was actually coming from her and how much was from her parents. Does an 8 year old actually have the life experience to understand what makes a picture "bad" or "dirty"? I don't really think that Miss Miley's back is anything to worry about. But that's just me, and I'm not 8 nor buy her albums. I guess that I'm not her target audience, so oh well!

Testing 1 2 3...

I hoping to start this ejournal to talk about all my favorites... Books, TV Shows, Movies. You know all the important stuff. I hope to give some kick butt reviews, and recaps regarding the entertainment industry. No I'm not Perez, but I'm fun. I'll post soon and let you know some of my favorites. I hope that I can actually keep up with posting.
